While Uganda’s top political contenders tear at each other for votes every elective year, the country witnesses various political trailers. These have been let into the political playing ground by Uganda’s supposedly open yet restrictive democratic structure.
Though established by a legal structure, the biggest percentage of mushrooming parties are being suffocated by lack of sustainable ideologies, limited financing and political optimism.
Our reporter Namajja Irene explores why out of the close to thirty political parties only a few have running activities and can credibly front a presidential candidate or even candidates at any other level.
