Gen Wamala to Punish UPDF Soldiers Cited in Caning Besigye Supporters

The chief of defense forces General Katumba Wamala has told legislators that the army will investigate soldiers cited working alongside police during the brutality meted out on supporters of opposition figure Dr Kiiza Besigye.
General Katumba Wamala made the revelation while appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs chaired by Mityana Woman MP Judith Nabakooba to give a status update on Ugandans still trapped in the South Sudan conflict.
