DP Youth Arrested over Age Limit Bill Motion

The police this morning arrested several members from the youth wing of the opposition Democratic Party DP after they attempted to storm Parliament protesting against the proposed amendments to the constitution to lift age limits for judicial officers and the commissioners of the Electoral Commission.
The group held placards demanding that Nakifuma county Member of Parliament Robert Kafeero Sekitoleko withdraw his Private members Age Limit bill proposal. They further demanded that parliament should not waste time on the bill which they argue is wastage of Tax payers’ time and money.The arrested included Kizza Hakim, Bigirwa Moses, Haruna Kasozi, Kayondo Juma, Wabulembo and Kitonsa Moses.
