Uganda’s unpredictable economy is forcing many people to find alternative means of survival. Unfortunately, those with ideas lack initial capital to start up small businesses that can transform their lives. And with unemployment levels rising especially among the youth, Ndejje University has embarked on implementing a technology of making charcoal from residual maize cobs. The move is intended to skill locals and students to make income through the sale of what was previously considered a waste.
