East Africa Standby Force Ready to Deploy to South Sudan

The East Africa Standby Force, a regional rapid response force, says it s ready to deploy to South Sudan if the African Union gives the directive. E. African Standby Force director Chanfi Issimail says the rapid-deployment force is well equipped and has the capacity to deploy within 14 days following command which must be confirmed and endorsed by the AU leaders.
