Besigye Causes Fever in the City

Police spent the greater part of the day in running battles with Dr Kizza Besigye’s Supporters, first along Gayaza road and later in the central business district.
Besigye who was scheduled to go to the high court as part of his bail requirements was escorted by the police patrol cars. Scuffle however ensued when he was stopped from going through the city centre claiming that his crowds were paralyzing business in the city.
His car was later towed out of the city back to his residence in Kasangati.
