Mbarara Municipal Council Senior Bosses Arrested Over Fraud, Forgery

Three senior officers at Mbarara Municipal council have been arrested on the directive of the parliamentary local government Accountability committee over abuse of office, connivance and forgery.  The arrested include the acting town clerk, the senior procurement officer and the principal treasurer. They were accused of flouting procurement laws and causing billions in losses to government.
