Children between 2 – 5 years need interaction with the environment to ensure proper development. This interaction can best be received in an Early Learning Centre where children interact freely and adjust to routines which help prepare them for school.
But as Richard Olweny reports, Nebbi and other rural districts around the country lack these well-developed Early Learning Centres – leaving ill equipped parents with the onus to prepare their children for a meaningful feature.
