Law in Offing to Deny Corrupt Officials Bail
Government officials asking for bribes from investors risk rotting in prison. The Ministry of finance is in final consultations with the attorney General to come up with a law that denies corrupt public officials involved in fleecing investors’ bail. The State Minister for Investment and Privatization Evelyn Anite disclosed as she launched a toll free hotline, which will be used by investors and any other persons, to report officials trying to solicit for bribes.
