South Sudan Groups Sign New Peace Accord

The South Sudan Government has signed a second agreement with the SPLA – IO Yei River state rebels to stop fighting immediately. The peace accord follows five days of negotiations in Kampala, several broken ceasefires and warning from the United Nations threatening to act if there was no peace deal. The peace agreement has been brokered by Most Reve. Bishop Elias Taban Parangi, the evangelical Presbyterian Church leader of South Sudan.
