Prosecutors Strike, Court Business Paralyzed

Court business was today paralyzed across the country as state prosecutors laid down their tools over poor pay. The decision followed a failed government to the ultimatum set by the aggrieved prosecutors under their umbrella association about a month a go.
Now the directorate of public prosecution will hold a crisis meeting tomorrow to find a way forward
NBS crew made a spot check at some courts where civil cases that were up for today were adjourned leaving prison warders and the Uganda police stranded with suspects.
