MPs to Receive Cash for Consulting Voters on Constitutional Land Amendments

Parliament has earmarked unspecified amounts of money for legislators to consult their voters on the proposed constitutional amendments on government forceful acquisition of private property prior to compensation.
This development comes at a time the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee is concerned that the Minister for Justice and Constitutional affairs Major General Kahinda Otafiire has failed to observe the period required of him to report back toit over cabinet’s review of the bill.
