“They’re relating the amendment to President Museveni. They’re saying he’s young, which is true, but he’ll be violating the Constitution. It would be political madness to amend the Constitution. When we made the Constitution, it was the best we made. MPs have no moral authority to amend our Constitution which we made after countrywide consultations. All those proposals by MPs are possible but they are purely ‘un-academic, absurd and irrelevant’ to our country.”
