FDC Demands Release of Nandala Mafabi

The Forum for Democratic Change leaders in Elgon and Bukedi sub-regions have demanded for the unconditional release of their party Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, who also doubles as the MP Budadiri West from Tororo central police custody. The leaders say Mafabi’s prolonged detention may provoke his supporters to organize an attack on the police station in a bid to have him released. Police however stormed Meritoria Hotel where the press conference was held, saying it was illegal and asked the party members to leave;
