Civil society groups operating in South Sudan are appealing to other countries for support in rescuing South Sudanese still trapped in some states in the war torn country. They are concerned over the conflict related gender based violence. Government representatives at the Great Lakes Minister’s conference in Uganda dismiss these claims as unfounded arguing that the situation is improving.
