GPEF Donates $100M For UPE Performance

The government of Uganda has received 100 million US Dollars from the Global Partnership for Education Fund to enhance UPE performances. The funds are meant to improve training of Primary teachers in the 27 worst performing districts around the country. The intervention will also develop an early grade reading module to help learners grasp a reading culture for better performance. This was revealed by the Senior presidential assistant Grace Asiimwe at Jinja Primary Teachers’ Collage.
