Museveni Directs IGG to Investigate UMEME

Days after President Yoweri Museveni directed the Inspector General of Government to investigate the high Power tariffs; members of Parliament have welcomed the move, urging government not to renew UMEME’S concession. This comes at a time when Power distribution company UMEME is lobbying for the renewal of its concession that is expiring in 2025. The IGG is to begin investigations immediately. Canary Reports.
