Kadaga Wants Vehicle Inspection Returned to Police

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga wants the responsibility of inspecting the condition of vehicles on the road reverted to the Uganda police force arguing that handing over the role to a private entity undermines the Uganda police force. Speaking during the launch of the parliamentary campaign on road safety, Kadaga declared that Parliament is opposed to the current arrangement in which a private company SGS is carrying out the inspection role.
