14-Year-Old Fakes Kidnap in Mbale

Cases of fake kidnaps have resurfaced in Mbale where a 14 year boy is said to have faked a kidnap and was found wrapped in a sack near his parent’s home.The boy went missing two weeks ago after receiving 95,000 shillings from a neighbour who had sent him to buy a jerry can of cooking oil. But after cross-examination, the boy identified as Emmanuel Mwambu confessed that the plot was intended to cover-up for the neighbors’ money, which he had used.
