Women Protest Unequal Payment

Protestors under the Women empowerment leadership today brought traffic to a standstill along Jinja road as they led a procession demanding for equal pay. Led by the State Minister for Gender and Culture – Peace Mutuuzo alongside the UN representative to Uganda, the women argue that it is not fair for women to earn 40% of what their male counterparts earn doing the same work.
