Farmers Protest Low Agriculture Funding

Ugandan farmers are calling upon East African regional member states to implement the 10 percent allocation to the national budgets in next financial year that was agreed on in 2004, during the Maputo declaration. The small-scale farmers argue that for the last decade, regional governments have ignored the Maputo declaration, which is affecting agriculture production. Lydia Nabakooza reports
