Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Welcomes Court's Decision on Polygamy

The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council has welcomed the constitutional court’s decision to dismiss the petition by MIFUMI that was seeking court to declare the marrying of more than one woman a violation of equality, freedom from expression. However, other religious leaders welcomed the petition asking government to legislate cultural and religious beliefs.
