Empowering the Youth

A 5 year youth empowerment initiative funded by MasterCard foundation to the tune of $11 Million dollars is underscoring the outcomes that organized groupings in agribusiness can derive more for the younger population. The National Cooperative Business Association that is implementing the Youth Empowerment Through Agriculture, in the districts of Masindi, Kiryandongo, Dokolo and Kole, says nearly 28,000 youth are in a 5-year agro enterprise training beyond a target of 26,000.
