Government Cancels Negotiations on Apaa Land

Government has cancelled negotiations for the de-gazetting of Apaa land, disbanding a 16 member committee instituted by president Museveni to solve the long running feud between Amuru and Adjumani. The Prime Minister Dr, Ruhakana Rugunda ordered the Acholi to consult with the National Forestry Authority and the Uganda Wildlife Authority on the matter.
