Police Chiefs Meet Over Tainted Image
In a bid to improve the public image of the Uganda Police, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Jeje Odongo summoned the police leadership lead by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Martin Okoth Ochola for a 2-day police performance review meeting in Jinja.
During the retreat, the police chiefs brainstormed on how to replenish the image of the police force and agreed on various avenues to be implored in order to ensure effective service delivery.
Recruitment and training of more police officers that hasn’t been done for the last two years was also hinted on during the meeting.
