Informal Sector Dominated by Women

Despite the fact that Uganda’s economy is driven and sustained by the informal sector, critics are concerned that government has continued to harass the sector by refusing to put in place policies to facilitate its development. According to Madina Guloba a researcher at the economic research policy center at Makerere University, government needs to create conducive environment for the informal sector to operate.
