New Rules Issued for Muslim Clerics Case

The High Court’s International Crimes Division in Kampala has introduced new guidelines aimed at restricting the media coverage of the trial of the 32 suspects accused of murdering Muslim clerics between 2012 – 2015.
The new rules issued by Justice Ezekiel Muhanguzi greatly limit media freedoms in the courtroom and threaten journalists with expulsion from court for failing to adhere to the conditions.
