Prof. Nawangwe Elected New Makerere University Vice Chancellor

Prof. Barnabus Nawangwe was this morning elected the next Vice Chancellor of Makerere University by the institution’s top decision making organ – the University Council.
Nawangwe beat off opposition from former acting Vice Chancellor Professor Venacious Baryamureeba and Professor Edward Kirumira. The vice chancellor elect is expected to be installed by the university chancellor by September 1, 2017.
