Patricia Munaabi: Unless we economically empower the women, we are going to continue to see less political empowerment
There is a lot we still have to do to raise gender awareness.
Affirmative action is still needed, there’s still a historical imbalance
We have failed to mature politically & democratically because of sexualization & commercialization in politics
We’ve very many women who have made a contribution to their community, we’ve women who’ve done phenomenon work
“We are learning organisation & mov’t; we can’t work with women alone. We are also working with men to achieve gender equality”
In our view, we think excessive force was used; as women, we’re calling for dialogue
