State House Team Arrests Medics over Stolen Hospital Equipment

The State House Health monitoring team has recovered medical equipment that was allegedly stolen by staff members at Fort Portal Regional referral hospital Buhinga.
The equipment include an evacuation set machine used in the delivery department that was allegedly stolen by staff members identified as Dr. Lawrence Abidniko and Taban moses and a sterilizer that was stealthily dropped after detecting the presence of the monitoring team in the hospital.
According to Jjumba potiano the assistant director health monitoring unit, the operation follows recent drugs theft reported in the same hospital. Drugs were found on a Kalita Bus on their way to Kampala. The mortuary attendant who checked in the drugs is on the run.
