Sugarcane Growers Ask Government to Replicate Tz Laws

The Uganda Sugarcane Growers Association is asking the trade committee of Parliament to replicate the Tanzania sugar law if Uganda’s sugar Industry is to be well regulated. The farmers, who recently visited Tanzania to find out how their industry is regulated, want a law that allows farmers sell sucrose to millers instead of sugarcane.
