The age limit debate that has divided the political class was contentious from its onset. In the Constituent Assembly where it was first suggested in 1995, many of the now controversial topics were discussed but furthermore, the lawyers who started the debate on electoral reforms argue that the bill is greatly misrepresenting the orders that the Supreme Court made in the Amama Mbabazi petition.
