World bank Invests 892 Billion in Agriculture in Uganda

The World Bank has approved 892 Billion shillings to support agricultural modernization in Uganda. This comes after the ministry of agriculture with technical assistance from World Bank developed a 6-year Agriculture Cluster Development project in order to implement the ministry’s comprehensive plan to commercialize agriculture sector. The funding is aimed at increasing production of maize, cassava, rice and coffee in 42 districts across the country.
