Uganda Nurses & Midwives Examinations Board has released its 21st series of examination results for 2016 with slight improvement in the performance in 2016 compared to 2015.
Out of 328 Diploma students registered in 2016, 59.9 passed and 12 .5 were ungraded. A slight improvement if compared to 2015.
And for certificate 3432 registered, 2.968 passed and 399 totally failed.
UNMEB blames to continued poor performance of medical students to the tutorial deficits and clinical instructors in the training institution.
The minister of education Janet Museveni while officiating in the launch of the results warned trainers against passing students at the expense of quality training.
