Government counts social transformation, improved welfare, productivity and health among others from its five year senior citizens grant pilot project that ended in 2015.
The 100billion worth project initially covered 123,153 elderly members in fifteen districts with government saying it largely achieved its intended role of averting risks and vulnerability among the elderly that were in the informal sector at their prime time.
