Local investors in real estate are calling for flexibility from the commercial banks as far as extending credit at affordable interest rates. This comes as Ugandans dealing in real estate business are being out competed by foreign investors in the trade who access cheaper loans from their countries of origin. According to Deox Tibeingana, a city lawyer dealing in real-estate once commercial Banks adjust, it will empower locals and reduce on the high rate of profit repatriation.
