New Tact to Resolve South Sudan conflict from Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Innitiative

Just a day after religious leaders from Acholi region are advocating that the Church be allowed to mediate between the South Sudan government and IGAD. This follows the escalating conflict in Juba and the decision by the South Sudan government to oppose the UN sanctioned deployment. The religious leaders led by Archbishop John Baptist Odama expressed concern over the current flare which has left over 150,000 people seeking refuge in Uganda.
