Constitutional Amendment to Extend MPs, EC and AG Term in Office

A Constitutional Amendment bill 2016 aimed at extending the tenure of the Electoral Commission, the Attorney General and amending the retirement age of judges and justices, is in the offing.
Nakifuma County MP Robert Kafeero Ssekitoleko, the legislator behind the bill says he’ll soon table the bill once parliament grants him leave to prepare it. Remy Bahati reports
