Calm at Makerere University as it Opens

Although the two weeks strike by non teaching staff from the five public universities was called off, it is still uncertain whether academic activities will begin in earnest in the various public universities. Students are however optimistic that the first semester will start although the current environment at the universities points to several uncertainties.
