The pre-trial session at the international criminal division of the high court into the case of thirty two men suspected of masterminding a wave of killings of Muslim clerics flopped again this morning.
This after the Defense protested the planned fresh charging of 16 of the 32 suspects with the offense of aiding and abetting terrorism before the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court. The defense team claimed their clients were charged afresh without the lawyers’ knowledge.
Justice Duncan Gaswaga, who sat as a single judge to hear the case was forced to adjourn the pre – trial hearing following the protest.
