IGAD Agrees on Regional Force in South Sudan

South Sudan’s government has agreed to let in a new international protection force to try to save a peace deal. The announcement was made by the East African regional body, the Inter Governmental Authority on Development, and confirmed by South Sudan cabinet minister Dr Martin Elia Lomuro. The latest development will see Dr. Riek Machar reinstated as South Sudan first Vice President.
