Strike Paralyses Public Universities

Activities in public universities have been paralyzed after the non teaching staffs laid down their tools demanding enhancement of their salaries as ordered by the president.
The staff from the six public universities who had called off their strike last year after receiving a 28bn shillings pledge from the president wants it paid or else they will not work.
As Moses Walugembe reports the industrial action has already had effects interrupting normal programs at the various institutions of higher learning.
