Media and parliament: Should Media Face Parliament’s Disciplinary Committee?

Legislators with a legal background have poked holes in the speaker’s plan to summon journalists before the rules and privileges committee over what she called a plan to ridicule and tarnish the image of parliament. Abdu Katuntu says the rules of procedures of parliament do not adequately facilitate bringing the media under the ambits of the rules committee for disciplinary action.
