Constitution on Age Limit

As the question of whether or not the constitution should be amended to increase the age limit for judicial officers continues to make headlines, we sought to understand the constitutional provisions regarding the appointment of judicial officers and whether or not there is need for amendment
Interestingly the constitution provides an open chaque regarding this appointment, with the president having powers to appoint judicial officers even when that person has attained the age prescribed for retirement in respect of that office.
