Kabaka Land Case: Petitioner Demands Judge to Withdraw

The case in which the Kabaka of Buganda is accused of illegally collecting land registration fees has again failed to take off after the petitioner Male Hassan Mabiririzi asked to file an application seeking Justice HerietaWolayo to excuse herself from the case saying he expects no fair hearing from her.
Mabiririzi’s contention arose out of an order from justice Herieta that he stands in the dock to argue his case since he chose to represent himself.But Mabirizi says that being his own counsel, he is allowed by the Constitution to sit with advocates on the same bench.
