Understanding Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is back in the spotlight as the institution gears toward presidential elections. Different individuals are already declaring their interests to vie for this top position. However, what has become a concern is whether this oldest private sector association still lives by its original objective of bringing together businesses and entrepreneurs, to promote trade and investment.
So far, not all seems to be well at the chamber of commerce with different stakeholders advising on a number of options that can be adopted to put things right.
