UNBS Introduces Counterfeit Detector

The ministry of Agriculture in partnership with the ministry of trade and Uganda National bureau of standards have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that puts in place regulations to cub the counterfeiting of agro inputs on the Ugandan market.
The MOU introduces an electronic verification code that will be availed to farmers to give them an opportunity to verify agro inputs on phone before purchase
According the Amelia Kyambade the minister for trade, this will finally put an end to the importation of fake products into the country
