Immigration Fails to Account for 83 Billion Shillings ID Project Cash

Shock, as officials from the directorate of citizenship and immigration control fail to explain how they spent a whopping 83 billion shilling on National identity card project.
Appearing before the parliament’s public accounts committee, the officials could not give a breakdown of their expenditures let alone those they engaged in the procurement procedures
The anomalies were highlighted in the auditor general’s report of July 2015.
