Mobile Money Users cry Foul over Double Charges

Mobile money users are crying foul of double charges. Some Ugandans are accusing Telecom companies of charging them for sending and also slapping a withdrawal charge on recipients. This follows the Telecom companies’ directive, ordering their agents to stop sending money on behalf of clients, encouraging only deposits on their mobile money accounts. But telecom Companies say the move is in line with the mobile money regulation guidelines required by Bank of Uganda.
