Civil Society Organisations Threaten Demonstration Against MPs Taxation

Civil Society Organizations are set to mobilize the citizenry against the MPs desire to have their allowances not taxed. The move follows the passing of the Income Tax Amendment Bill, 2016 after president Museveni refused to assent to it earlier this year. The CSOs insist that the refusal by legislators to tax their allowances will deprive the country over 49.5 billion shillings annually.
